OFFICIAL: Jack Hinshelwood Signs New Long-Term Contract with Brighton Until 2029

Brighton's Jack Hinshelwood celebrating in the blue and white kit after signing a new long-term contract extension.

In football, there are moments when a pen and paper do more than just sign a contract they sign a promise for life. Today, the hearts of Brighton & Hove Albion fans are filled with a unique sense of pride as their homegrown diamond, polished within the academy walls since the age of eight, Jack Luca Hinshelwood (20), put pen to paper on a long-term deal keeping him at the Amex Stadium until June 2029.

This isn’t just transfer news; it is a story of love, loyalty, and the continuation of a footballing dynasty written in sweat and blood.

FOOTBALL IN THE BLOOD: A FAMILY LEGACY

Jack Hinshelwood is no ordinary player; he is a fourth-generation professional footballer. His father, Adam Hinshelwood, is a former Brighton hero who fought for the badge during the club's grueling days at the Withdean Stadium. Jack grew up hearing the legends of Brighton, learning that wearing the "Seagulls" crest is not a job, but an honor. By signing this contract, he carries that torch forward with immense pride, now playing alongside his cousin, Harry Howell, in the senior squad.

PERFORMANCE BEYOND HIS YEARS

Since breaking into the first team in 2023, Jack has been far more than just a "prospect." With the versatility to play anywhere from full-back to attacking midfield Jack has become the "Swiss Army Knife" for manager Fabian Hürzeler.

Senior Appearances: 70

Goals Scored: 9

Major Achievement: UEFA Euro U21 Champion with England in 2025.

This season alone, Jack has clocked 1,008 minutes in the Premier League (EPL), displaying a maturity that defies his age. Even after suffering a serious ankle and ligament injury last season, he returned stronger and hungrier so much so that clubs like Nottingham Forest came knocking in January. But his heart only beat for one place: Brighton.

EMOTIONS OF THE COACH AND THE FAITHFUL

"Jack is the ultimate role model for every young player in our academy," Hürzeler said with visible emotion. "He is an emerging leader within the dressing room."

For the Albion faithful, Jack is "One of Our Own." To see a boy born in Worthing, who grew up within the club, commit his future here brings more joy than any multi-million-pound signing ever could. It is a victory for the club’s identity.

Upon signing, Jack offered a promise that touched many: "I will give everything I have on the pitch for this club." These weren't just PR words; they were the words of a young man who knows the weight of every drop of sweat he sheds on the Amex turf.
